Samsung Foundry Certifies Primarius NanoSpice™ Simulator for 14nm LPP Technology

Primarius Technologies today announced that Samsung Foundry has certified its NanoSpice™, a high-performance parallel SPICE simulator, for advanced IC design with Samsung Foundry’s 14nm low power performance (LPP) technology. NanoSpice™ support is now enabled by Samsung Foundry’s design kits which is available to design companies worldwide.  

Samsung’s 14LPP process technology is engineered to improve overall yield, reduce power consumption, and improve performance over previous process nodes, which requires fast and accurate circuit simulation and verification tools to support advanced IC designs. NanoSpice™ helps Samsung Foundry’s customers to verify their analog and mixed-signal designs with accuracy confidence as well as fast simulation speed. NanoSpice™ is also the simulation engine of BSIMProPlus™, the leading SPICE modeling tool provided by Primarius, that ensured the accuracy and quality of SPICE models for the 14LPP process.

NanoSpice™ is a new generation high-capacity, high-performance parallel SPICE simulator, designed for the most challenging simulation jobs, such as large post-layout analog circuit simulations requiring capacity, speed, and accuracy simultaneously. NanoSpice’s superior parallelization technologies handle generic circuit simulation with up to 50M+ circuit elements. NanoSpice™ series products also include NanoSpcie Giga, a GigaSPICE simulator, and NanoSpice Pro, a FastSPICE simulator, that are tailored to meet the simulation needs of large blocks or full chip memory or SoC designs with billion circuit elements.
